1. What Scholexo is
Scholexo is an online exam-preparation platform for the CPA, CMA, EA, ACCA and CIMA certifications, offering video and text lessons, practice questions, full-length mock exams built to match each exam's real structure, an AI study assistant, a study planner, and scheduled live tests with a shared leaderboard.
Scholexo is an independent test-preparation provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the AICPA, NASBA, the IMA, ACCA, the IRS, or CIMA. Those bodies set and administer the actual credentialing exams; Scholexo only prepares candidates for them.
2. Your account
You need an account to access paid content. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you register with and for keeping your password confidential. Accounts are for one individual's personal use — course access, mock-exam attempts and live test results are tied to that person, and sharing login credentials so multiple people study on one account is a breach of these terms.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you select (monthly, per-part, or full-course access) and renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund time already paid for — see the Refund Policy for the cases where a refund does apply.
Prices are shown before checkout in the currency displayed; if a payment fails, we may retry it and will suspend access to paid content until it's resolved.
4. Acceptable use
When using Scholexo, you agree not to:
- Copy, download in bulk, scrape, resell, or otherwise redistribute course content, question banks or simulator screens outside the platform.
- Share account access with anyone else, or use automated tools to complete lessons, quizzes or live tests on your behalf.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its underlying systems.
- Use the live test leaderboard or shared results in a way intended to mislead other candidates about your own or another candidate's standing.
5. Intellectual property
All course content, question banks, video, and platform software are owned by Scholexo LLC or licensed to it. Buying a course or subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use that content for your own exam preparation — it does not transfer ownership or any right to redistribute it.
6. No pass guarantee
Scholexo is built to prepare you as thoroughly as we can for the real exam, but we don't control the exam itself, its scoring, or the licensing decisions of AICPA, NASBA, the IMA, ACCA, the IRS or CIMA. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that you will pass any exam, section, or paper.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, including account-sharing, abuse of the platform, or fraudulent payment activity. You can close your own account at any time by emailing us; closing an account does not by itself trigger a refund.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scholexo LLC's liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost income or a missed exam sitting caused by factors outside our platform's control.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Scholexo LLC is registered at 1209 Orange St, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continuing to use Scholexo after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms; if a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify account holders by email.
