Try before you pay
Every course on Scholexo can be previewed free, without a card, through the free trial on Try It For Free. Use it to check the content, the simulator and the AI tutor actually fit how you study before committing to a paid plan — this is the main reason refund requests are rare and the window below is short.
7-day refund window
If a paid course or subscription genuinely isn't working for you, you can request a full refund within 7 calendar days of the original purchase date, provided you have completed less than 10% of that course's practice questions and have not sat a full-length mock exam within it.
Requests outside the 7-day window, or made after the 10% usage threshold is crossed, are reviewed case by case rather than guaranteed — email us and explain the situation; we'd rather work it out than lose you as a candidate.
What isn't refundable
- A live test seat, once that day's test session has started — the seat held a spot another candidate could have taken.
- Any exam voucher or third-party credential fee purchased through Scholexo on your behalf and already submitted to the issuing body (AICPA, NASBA, IMA, ACCA, the IRS or CIMA).
- Subscription months already elapsed at the time of a downgrade or cancellation — cancelling stops future renewals, it doesn't refund the current billing period.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your account with your order date and the course or plan name. We confirm eligibility within 2 business days and, once approved, process the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days — the exact time it lands depends on your bank or card issuer, not on us.
Before filing a chargeback
If a charge looks wrong, contact us first at [email protected] — most billing issues (a duplicate charge, a plan mix-up, a failed cancellation) are fixed faster by email than through your card issuer's dispute process, and a chargeback on an account that later needs support access can delay things unnecessarily.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our plans change. The version in force on the date of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase — we don't apply a later, stricter policy retroactively. Material changes are reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
Questions
Reach the team at [email protected], or through the contact form on our Contact page, before requesting a refund — most cases are resolved faster that way.
