1. The categories we use
Strictly necessary — always on. Keeps you logged in, remembers items like your current lesson and quiz progress mid-session, and balances load across our servers. The platform doesn't function without these, so they aren't optional.
Analytics — off until you allow it. Anonymised, aggregated usage data (which pages are visited, which lessons are dropped off from) that helps us see what's confusing or broken. Nothing here is used to identify you individually.
Functional — off until you allow it. Remembers preferences across visits, like your last-viewed course tab or a dismissed banner, so the site doesn't ask you the same thing every session.
Marketing — off until you allow it. Used to measure which channel brought you to Scholexo and to avoid showing you an ad for a course you've already bought. We don't use this category to build a profile for sale to third parties.
2. Your choice, and changing it later
The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept all, reject everything but the strictly-necessary cookies, or choose category by category. Your choice is saved in your browser and applied on every later visit — we don't ask again until you clear your browser storage or update your preference yourself.

3. Third-party cookies
Where we use an analytics or marketing provider, that provider may set its own cookie under its own domain, governed by that provider's privacy policy in addition to this one. We only enable those providers if you've allowed the corresponding category.
4. Browser-level controls
Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, independent of the choice you make on Scholexo. Blocking the strictly-necessary category at the browser level will break login and progress-saving, since those cookies are what the platform runs on.
5. Changes to this policy
If the categories or providers listed here change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for a material change, ask for your preference again the next time you visit.
